1. The service
ZeltaCode Chat is run by ZeltaCode Ltd. It sells Messaging plans and issues Messaging API keys that switch on chat in apps that include a Messaging-compatible chat module. The service checks keys, counts usage and tells your app what your plan includes. The messages themselves are stored and delivered by your own app, not by this service.
2. Your account and your key
- Give correct account details and keep your password safe.
- Your Messaging API key is secret. Anyone who has it can use your plan. If it may have leaked, rotate it on your Messaging page.
- You are responsible for the apps that use your key and for what their users do in chat, including moderation and handling reports.
3. Plans, payment and cancellation
- Plans are billed monthly in advance by card through Stripe. Prices are shown before you subscribe and charged as shown.
- You can switch plans at any time; the difference for the rest of the period is charged or credited. You can cancel at any time; your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
- A free trial, where a plan offers one, is given once per account. You are not charged if you cancel before the trial ends.
- If a payment fails, chat keeps working while Stripe retries. If a payment is refunded or disputed, the plan is switched off until a new period is paid.
4. Limits and fair use
Each plan has a monthly limit (for example monthly active chat users) and a number of apps. Your app reports usage once a day. Depending on the plan, going over the limit either shows a warning or pauses new messages until the next month or an upgrade. Do not try to get around the limits, the key checks or the usage reports.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the service for anything illegal, for spam, or to harm others. Apps that use chat must let users report messages and block people, and must act on reports. We may suspend a key that is used against these terms.
6. Availability
We work to keep the service available. Apps keep chat on for a grace period when the service cannot be reached, so short outages do not interrupt your users. The service is provided as it is, without guarantees beyond those the law requires.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, ZeltaCode Ltd is not liable for indirect losses, and its total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. For important changes we tell you by e-mail or on your Messaging page before they apply. If you do not agree, you can cancel your plan.
